Focus on Socialism

Our focus here has always been on Socialism and we have always primarily focused on the voluntary nature of Social Security and the Social Security Number. We will still be focusing on this but it has become equally important as the wave of Socialism is sweeping over the countryside. With an admitted socialist on the white house it’s kind of hard not to notice.

When it comes right down to it, Social Security is socialism (taking from one group to give to another) and now we are faced with wave after wave of government takeover of one industry after another. Whether it’s through regulation or giving executive orders or by hanging a carrot in front of their faces. It all works out to the same thing.

We will be right on top of this as well as all issues SSN.

Obama and Roosevelt - Blood Brothers

I was in a waiting room yesterday and picked up a copy of TIME and read an interesting article on Franklin Delano Roosevelt. I noticed there are many, many similarities between Obama and Roosevelt. Obama himself may think it is an honor to be mentioned in the same breath but I would not. FDR took the Presidency in the midst of the Great Depression. History books and the government indoctrination centers known as public schools give credit to FDR for getting us out of the great depression.

What exactly did he do?

He did several things even in his first 100 days. He saw the depression as caused by people not spending or investing because they were afraid. Roosevelt sent a staggering number of bills to congress which all passed easily. Naturally they were hungry to do anything for fear of losing their jobs.

They passed the Glass-Stegall Act which created the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation which still exists today. One thing I have noticed is that when government creates a bureaucracy or agency, it rarely goes away. These things are almost always permanent. Seeing that FDIC logo at a bank is sure to give everyone a warm fuzzy feeling.

Here is a list of other things that were created.

· Emergency Banking Act
· Federal Emergency Relief Administration
· Civilian Conservation Corps
· Reconstruction Finance Corporation,
· Agricultural Adjustment Administration
· National Industrial Recovery Act
· Securities and Exchange Commission
· Tennessee Valley Authority
· Works Progress Administration
· National Labor Relations Act
· Social Security Act (Who is this FICA guy and why is he getting so much of my money?)

Many of these were public works projects and some were regulating different industries. The Agriculture Adjustment Administration actually tried to pay farmers not to grow crops and to cut herds. This was supposed to make these commodities more rare and raise the prices. This was supposed to boost the economy.

Can you imagine driving by a farm and seeing a farmer dump out can after can of milk onto the ground?

We all know what the Social Security Act did. It takes money from one class of people and gives it to another. I would challenge anyone to find the Constitutional authority for these things.

What it comes down to is that Roosevelt spent money. This was borrowed money. He increased taxes on everyone like never before. He had to pay for this somehow.

The National Labor Relations Act authorized people to form unions and go on strike. Personally, I once belonged to a union. I will never do that again. It puts everyone on the same level regardless of how you work. You will get the same pay whether you go out of your way to do a good job or you walk around mumbling, “That’s not in my job description.”

None of the things he did had a profound effect on the depression. The unemployment numbers didn’t change much until we got into WW II.

I have to give credit where credit is due. Roosevelt did do at least one good things He got Prohibition repealed.

What has Obama done?

He has passed the first(?) stimulus bill which spends more money than any previous president has done in the past combined. It looks like “Cap and Trade” is going to pass which will be the biggest tax increase we’ve seen. Now we may be looking at national healthcare.

Yes, there are many things that Roosevelt and Obama have in common. They both increased government control over our lives on a massive scale. They both raised or are raising taxes big time.

There is one big difference. I am confident Roosevelt was eligible to be president.

Like I have said, we’re heading towards a socialist regime with the four barrels kicked in, turbochargers on and firing the afterburners.

Fight the Smears gets Scrubbed – Shades of 1984

www.FightTheSmears.com was a website started by the Obama Campaign to counter allegations on a number of topics from his birth records to his religious faith.

I can certainly understand taking down a website that is no longer needed. However, this is different. Even the Internet Archive “The WayBackMachine” has no record the site existed.

There remains a google cache of the site but this will go away after a while.

The question here is why take the site down now and why have it removed from an archive? Does someone want to make it look like it never existed? If there is no record of it, we can claim it never existed. If we repeat it long enough, it becomes the truth because people will believe it. Can you say 1984?

You may notice our front page is a bit different. We are displaying top news stories from around the internet right on our front page. Anything we deem important to the issues of Social Security and Socialism we will post here. Whether it’s from WorldNetDaily or the Associated press. If it’s relevant, well post a link for it. On the front page there will be the last couple of days news items. Click on More News and you’ll get everything from the past 30 days. We should be adding items daily.

Our Budget -

One of the things I’ve always wanted to do, more for fun and for educational purposes is to set up a “micronation.” There are many of these around. One of the most fun ones is the Republic of Molossia www.molossia.org.

I would set up mine as a Constituional Monarchy. Yes, I would be King but with very limited powers. The main reason I would be King is so my son would be known as the “The Prince”.

We have been taking on some additional costs here. You may recall in the last NewsLetter, our son will be entering kindergarten soon. We have successfully enrolled him at Whitinsville Christian School ( http://www.wcs.mec.edu ). This was done without an SSN which our son does not have. I was prepared for the inevitable questions concerning the SSN but they never came. He will be getting a good education, a Christian education and we will be watching for signs of creeping socialism. This will be much easier to address at this school since we are paying for the privilege. This costs money.

We have set our budget for NoSSN at $1,600 per month. A portion of this is for the tuition.
