America: from Freedom to Fascism – Coming to a theater near you

If you haven't heard of this movie yet you need to go and see the trailers. If you've seen it, let me know what you think. I was going to try and make the prescreening in Londonderry NH but I was in Tennessee when it was there.

The film was at the Canne Film festival and Aaron Russo was hoping to pick up a distributor. In my honest opinion I didn't think it would get picked up. I thought it was going to be too controversial and too honest (if there is such a thing). Nothing of this sort ever goes anywhere. No matter how much I would like to see it happen, it never does.

I remember seeing a bit that Irwin Schiff did on the news one time. The cameras followed him as he went to one of New York's most prestigious accounting firms and he asked them to point out the law that made everyone liable for the income tax. Of course they claimed it was there and could not point it out. When the broadcast went back to the studio one of the anchors made a comment to the effect of, “Well, I don't know about that...” She was certainly eluding to the fact that most people believe that the law does require American's to file and pay up or else. The natural spin everyone is taught in government schools.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that Aaron's film got picked up. There is a release date of July 28th. As soon as I find out where it will be playing in my neighborhood, I'll be going to wait in line. I am personally letting everyone I know, know about this film and urging them to see it. I have been showing people the website and the trailers. Even the trailers give you a good taste of what is to come.

One of the quotes from the trailer is from Congressman Ron Paul. Congressman Paul is certainly one of my heros. He is the only member of Congress that actually knows what's going on and is trying to do something about it. In the trailer he says that he knows that there is no law requiring most Americans to pay the income tax. He goes to mention that the IRS has all the guns. How true...

I understand that the best part of the movie is where Aaron interviews Sheldon Cohen, former IRS Commissioner. Just from the small clips in the trailer I can tell it's gotta be good. Mr. Cohen gets a bit flabbergasted, slamming his fist on the desk while declaring, “The internal Revenue Code is authorized by the 16th Amendment.” I understand the interview goes on, Mr. Cohen says things like, “You caught me unprepared.” and eventually winds up storming out. I want to see that.

The reviews of the movie are some of the best I have seen for any movie. I have yet to see anything negative. People are saying it will leave you staggering out of the theater slack jawed and trembling. It's scary.

It kind of reminds me of when I first found out about many of these things. I attended a presentation by Gordon Philips. Gordon used to run a site called Inform America. I left that presentation very proud to be an American and extremely angry at what has been done to it.
From what I have learned so far the movie does not touch too much on the issue of Social Security and our friendly, everybody needs one SSNs. Although they do go into depth about biochips which is the natural successor to the SSN.

They have redone the website for the movie and have added more trailers. You can also send e-cards, read reviews and they even have a discussion forum.

Take a look at the website, watch the trailers, tell everyone about it, make a donation, go see the movie.
