I’ve had a few inquiries lately; where are the NewsLetters? What’s going on? No I haven’t been shut down by any government entities. No, I have been very sick. I was in the hospital on a couple of different occasions and I had some major surgery on July 2nd. On the Fourth of July I didn’t get to see any fireworks, just some bright flashes outside my hospital window.

I won’t get into the details here about the surgery or my illness. It’s not that I don’t want to talk about it’s only that I don’t believe the NewsLetter is the proper place for those kinds of details. Feel free to e-mail me if you want details.

Suffice it to say, I am finally feeling much better and I will be able to once again, send out the NewsLetter and keep things running here at NoSSN.com

Aaron Russo

I was saddened when I heard about the passing of Aaron Russo. His film, America: from Freedom to Fascism was a beautiful piece of work that is still doing it’s part in educating Americans.

I am wondering if there will be anyone picking up the ball on this one. You will notice in the title of the film it says “Volume 1” which indicates to me there will at the very least be a volume 2. Now, with Aaron gone, will there be a volume 2. America needs it.

When Gene Roddenberry passed away, Trekkies everywhere wondered if that would be the end of Star Trek. Without missing beat Rick Berman stepped in. Will somebody step in for Aaron Russo?

Ron Paul for President

I have been watching the Republican debates and there are some things I have to say. Ron Paul is the only candidate that has a different message. I’m getting bored watching everyone else. Ron Paul gets thunderous applause, he makes sense, he offends Rudy, he’s just awesome. Why is the media all but blacking him out? Many times he’s not even included as a choice in the polls.

It’s amazing to see the major media outlets placing Ron Paul trailing in the polls then you check just about any online poll and he is winning by a wide margin.

Never before have I even been tempted to put a bumper sticker on my car or make any effort to support a presidential candidate. In past elections my slogan has always been, “Vote Republican. It’s the slower road to socialism”

If you haven’t had a chance to listen to Ron Paul go to YouTube.com and search for Ron Paul. Many people will record the debates, and make videos of just the Ron Paul questions and answers. They are fun to watch.

So, I urge all my readers to support Ron Paul anyway you can. I’ll be doing the same.

Government Crackdown

Over the past few months the government has been cracking down on several very popular organizations. Most recently two biggies have felt the wrath of Big Brother. Both We The People and Save a Patriot have felt the crunch. The We The People site, givemeliberty.org has had to be taken down almost completely by court order. It’s still there and you can read the court documents. It will be interesting to see what happens there.

The Save a Patriot Fellowship has been under attack since May of 2005. They are being charged with violating something that is punishable under Sec. 6700 and 6701. Basically they are asserting that Save a Patriot is selling tax fraud schemes. We know this is not true since the only thing they supply is educational materials and paralegal services.

So far the website is still up and running and Save a Patriot is currently requesting a rehearing. You can access all of the court documents at www.save-a-patriot.org

In case anyone is wondering, yes, I would still like to form my own country sometime. I’ll followup with that story in a future NewsLetter.
