It appears from the lawsuit filed by The Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee [GATA] that there have been some improprieties among the world banking cartels. The latest hearing in Boston Federal Court has the plaintiff surviving the dismissal motions filed by the defendants. Fixing the price of gold is alleged. GATA alleged that investment houses Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan and Chase Manhattan, together with the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and the world's central banks, were colluding to keep the gold price low to stall losses arising from the lending of bullion reserves. The article written by the fiduciary of The Save-A-Patriot Fellowship, John B. Kotmair Jr. was distributed to members participating in the Victory Express via the monthly statement for the members assistance program (MAP). THE LIBERTY TREE Vol. 4 Number 12 - December 2001 AS I SEE IT... by: John B. Kotmair, Jr., Fiduciary This is in response to a request to publish my perspective on the events surrounding the September 11th attack. Whether these events were staged by those desiring a one world socialist government or perpetrated as a result of a reaction to the federal government's foreign policy, we will probably never really know and it really does not matter. What we have to be concerned about are the one-world socialists in our federal government taking advantage of the fear and emotional outrage to pass de facto laws restricting our liberties. This means that we have to be even more resolved in our educational efforts. The power of the Constitution must be understood not only by the public, but even those within the Executive and Legislative branches of the federal government. It has been my personal experience that those in government whom I have come into contact with have very little of such knowledge. Knowing such events would take place, and realizing the inadequacy of our ability through personal contact and word of mouth to spread the word fast enough, is what drove me to establish the Liberty Works Radio Network. Most individuals are like parrots, that is why the socialists made such great advances through the use of the establishment media. With a radio network we can counteract the socialists' propaganda with the truth, which always rings clear and is instantly recognized by reasonable persons. Once we start the process of the truth being parroted, it will cause the political pressure needed to overcome the fear tactics used by these socialists to achieve their agenda. In other words, do not get caught up in meaningless allegations that you have no way of proving, but rather keep on track teaching the Constitution and expose the real purpose and sedition committed by the passage of these so called anti-terrorists acts. The job of saving the Republic is too important to be sidetracked. Another subject that must be addressed is the seemingly unending problem of scam artists and well-meaning but inexperienced individuals deterring the advancement of our educational movement by their ambitious acts. A case in point is Thurston Bell. As many of you are probably aware, Thurston got his start working for the Fellowship. He was hired on because of his claim that he was a paralegal. It did not take long to see that his paralegal skills were scant. He was transferred to the employer response section of the National Workers Rights Committee, and trained in that limited field. It was while working there that he gained his knowledge about subchapter N of Chapter I of the Internal Revenue Code commonly known as the 861 argument. After leaving the employment of the Fellowship, Thurston, along with another individual, started an organization called TAXGATE, which was basically an Internet web site operation. After a year or so they split up and Thurston established another Internet web site called NITE and started the services the government is now seeking a permanent injunction to stop - [see the News article "Lights Out for NITE" in the November 20th, 2001 issue of The Tax Freedom 101 Report]. About a year ago I received a call from a Fellowship member named David Bossett, a businessman in Florida. Bossett informed me that Thurston completed the proper IRS forms for him to be refunded all the withholdings tax paid by him for certain tax periods. The gist of the argument for the return of the withholdings was based on the 861 arguments. He further stated that Thurston's effort worked and he received a full refund check for all the withholdings. I advised him not to cash the check, that such efforts were not new and more than likely the IRS employee who processed the request did so without questioning the facts contained therein. I further stated that if he did cash the check, in about one year's time, the IRS would be suing for the return of the FRNs. He implied that my warning was just sour grapes because Thurston was able to "succeed" where I had not. I tried to explain this was not the case-but he was not receptive to my warnings. Well, a year or so later, the following took place: the IRS sued Bossett for the return of the FRNs. Since having received the refund check, Bossett went into competition with Thurston. Now, November 2001, the Department of Justice has filed actions in three federal district courts for a permanent injunction against Thurston, Bossett, and another of Thurston's associates. According to the complaint, all three have been enjoying profitable gain by advertising, what they called the success of Thurston's 861 argument. The drastic fallout is that all those uninformed gullible Patriots, that invariably fall for such "services" because of being uninformed, will suffer financially and in some cases criminally. As I stated before, Thurston learned his knowledge of Subchapter N while working at the Fellowship. We at the Fellowship had the knowledge years before he came to work here. We also had the knowledge that would have allowed us to do what he did. We did not, and will not, perform such services because common sense dictates that what has happened would happen. If it was just a matter of showing the IRS and the federal courts the law, the struggle that we are engrossed in would have been over 36 years ago, resulting in victory. Of course, unlike Thurston Bell, I base my judgments on my 44 years experience with courts, going back to my days on the Baltimore City Police force. The lesson learned from the above true story, is, THERE ARE NO SILVER BULLETS. By now you have received my letter outlining the financial problems facing the Fellowship. The IRS backing off from harassing our members has, as we predicted, caused financial problems and if not corrected could threaten the very existence of the Fellowship. In fact the IRS collection efforts are down everywhere, as reported by the mainstream media. This affects the perceived need for an organization such as the Fellowship in the public's mind, which directly bears on membership enrollment. Enrollment is also affected by government press releases about cases such as Thurston Bell's. These types of cases have more of a negative effect than criminal prosecutions of Patriots. For these reasons, if you can afford to put the Fellowship on a weekly or monthly donation list, as suggested in my last letter, we will be able to meet our expenses and continue to exist. The only alternative would be to change our fees for services rendered and for renewal of membership, etc. We are very reluctant to do that knowing that the above existing conditions will change in a matter of time, thus ending the need for such donations. Wherefore, if at all possible, please help us to get through this critical time, so we can get on with the essential work of bringing the federal and state government back under the Constitution. [end article from The Liberty Tree] As an aside to this article - friends of the fellowship and those evaluating membership must realize that we are in a never ending chess game with the IRS. Since the IRS/FRB knows that the best way to defeat the efforts of the fellowship is to cut off its funding, they have left our membership virtually alone depriving the staff of work. If the government is to operate in a Constitutional manner, our politicians and the social welfare programs they promote must also be deprived of money. Unfortunately it cannot be done unless citizens wake up to the fact that they're wage slaves participating in the grand scheme of wealth redistribution - better known as Socialism, and demand that we return to limited government.
