Opening brief in the Mauldin case

This is the opening brief in the Mauldin case. Benjamin Mauldin was denied his plumbing license renewal because of his refual to give them his SSN. His obejection is due in part to religious objection. He also makes an excellent case on the premise that having an SSN does not make him a better plumber. The requirement stems indirectly from the the "Dead Beat Dad" legislation sec. 666. The brief includes reasons why this is not working well and is only aiding in catching a very small percentage of child support problems. They also state that the SSN requirement only makes the job easier and is not required to get the job done.
