The IRS propaganda outlets have once again begun their yearly ritual of scare and intimidation tactics just as "tax time" rolls closer for most "americans". The New York Times has provided yet another indication that the the IRS is now poised to crack down on "tax cheats". The article, IRS Going After Business' on Withholding Tax is indicating that the IRS is now prepared to move forward on further investigations and indictments in the very near future.
An Important Tax Freedom 101 Commentary: The IRS is in a real quandary now. They either need to nip this "non compliance" thing in the bud early to support their fraudulent money handlers and economic system perpetrated at the hands of the Federal Reserve or face an increasing number of companies (the fearless ones) who have decided that the truth is more important than continued government tyranny, innuendo, and threats. Although the threats may be real by the IRS to "step up" the pressure on these companies who have seemingly "defied" the IRS, the IRS will still need to prove that the employers and employees were required to be withheld from and are in fact liable for these taxes in a court of law. Protecting due process and administrative rights is now more important than ever!
It is now time to hold the high ground and not buckle under the pressure - there can be no retreat! The alternative is unthinkable. IRS Going After Business' on Withholding Tax The New York Times - David Cay Johnson - 02/10/01
The Internal Revenue Service plans to announce next week that it is actively pursuing small-business owners who are bragging on the Internet and in seminars that they do not withhold taxes from their employees' paychecks, arguing that the tax laws do not apply to them.
Dale Hart, the I.R.S. deputy commissioner for small businesses and the self-employed, said the agency was now looking for business owners who have stopped withholding and turning over income, Social Security and Medicare taxes, and was "stepping up" the pressure on them.
Workers at these companies, who Mrs. Hart said "are being scammed by their bosses," will also be pursued and will be assessed penalties unless they send in the taxes that should have been withheld from their paychecks.
Some of the business owners, as well as the promoters who advise them, will be prosecuted for tax evasion and other crimes, said Mark E. Matthews, chief of the I.R.S. criminal investigation division. Indictments may take months.
In addition, the agency has tightened its procedures for issuing refunds to business owners who say they are exempt from the tax laws, said John Buchanan, the I.R.S. executive responsible for ferreting out sham trusts and similar commercial tax evasion schemes.
The changes, and an effort to encourage workers to turn in bosses who stop withholding taxes, come as proponents of theories that the tax laws are a hoax prepare to meet in Washington.

It's days like these when you realize the "spin" just isn't working anymore. In the latest example of some moron field testing the suicide by cop theory, Robert W. Pickett got his fifteen minutes of fame in front of the White House at the cost of a busted knee cap. But if you follow media logic after this event, you'll have no choice but to conclude that the IRS is an "anti-government organization."
Let's get past all the sensationalism: A guy walks past the White House gates, waves a gun, and gets shot. Yet in what could be considered a "slow news day," media idiots asked virtually anyone who ever knew him, "Was he a member of a militia group?"
No, Government & Media bozos, he worked for the Internal Revenue Service. He's one of yours. So, what does the Secret Service do?
Secret Service agents removed computer equipment and several bags of other evidence.
Before entering the Pickett residence, officers from the Evansville police bomb squad joined Secret Service agents in scouting outside for booby traps or bombs. Um…guys, if he had any bombs, you think he might have brought them with him?
The warrant they obtained said agents were looking for firearms and for magazines that might indicate whether Pickett was a member of a militia group.
Again: he worked for the Internal Revenue Service - an anti-constitutional, extremist, extortion group that launders its theft through fractional banking. This organization has ties to the Unites States Postal Service, whose members have killed fellow group members and sympathizers in the past.
"They'll have a difficult time trying to peg this guy as an anti-government extremist," said Ed Wolfe, Webmaster for an Internet publication that monitors government extremists and Media spin masters. "He hates the IRS and yet he fired a gun at the White House occupied by a 'right-wing' President."
No firearms were found, police Detective Alan Brack said.
Police are investigating if Pickett was able to commit such an act because of a trigger lock malfunction on the hand gun that was in his possession.
One Evansville officer, who wished to remain anonymous stated, "at first we thought he might have been a militia member since he tried to sue the IRS. The only people who dislike the IRS are militia members, according to our profile data." The Detective went on to say, "…after analyzing his stupidity of thinking he'd make it in the White House with a gun, we figured he MUST have worked for a government agency."

Many people are trying to figure out where George Bush is coming from. On the one hand, he seems to stand up for conservatives by backing John Ashcroft and trying to subsidize religious charities -- but on the other hand, he's proposing to expand federal control over local schools, push the government further into health care and even expand Bill Clinton's AmeriCorps program.
Dana Milbank of The Washington Post says that these seemingly contradictory policies are actually consistent. According to Milbank, Bush is ignoring the old labels of "left and right" and embracing "the movement known as 'communitarianism,' which places the importance of society ahead of the unfettered rights of the individual." (I'll bet you didn't realize how "unfettered" your rights have been lately.)
* Child Protective Services - Satan's Body Snatchers?
Do you have children? Do you home school? Do you spare not the rod to avoid spoiling the child? If so you had better learn how to deal with the Child Protective Services in your state. They may someday make an unannounced visit to your front door when you least expect it. Today anyone can pick up the phone and become an anonymous Nazi snitch to send the folks over at CPS on a "search and rescue" mission to "save" the child(ren). There is much to know about how to deal with these folks at your local state CPS. There is an alarming rise of kidnapping by these Taxpayer funded social "services". Why? Because there is BIG money to be had by those involved with snatching your kids.
You may wonder why such a report as this can be found in the informational section in a tax related publication. You may ask what does this have to do with taxes? Indirectly it is the very social welfare taxes which Taxpayers contribute voluntarily to government through their wage and employment tax which help fund these largely destructive social welfare programs. Hence the reason for this informational. Maybe your still a Taxpayer? Maybe you have children, home school, or discipline your child. If so then this report is for you!

"...Under the watchwords "the best interests of the child," 130,000 kids are taken from their parents each year by a system geared to act first and ask questions later. However, two-thirds of the 2.2 million reports of child maltreatment in 1986 turned out to be unfounded. And of the substantiated reports, only 15 percent involved any serious risk to the child's safety, according to Douglas Besharov, a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute and first director of the National Center on Child Abuse and Neglect. "It's this 15 percent," he concluded, "that need the kind of intervention the Krachts received but Lisa Steinberg didn't: immediate removal from the home. [The Krachts represent a well-documented case of false accusation of child abuse and Lisa Steinberg was killed when she was not removed from the home. -RT] An atmosphere of well-justified concern for maltreated children has bred a monster that can traumatize both parents and kids, trampling their rights to a parent-child relationship."
Dan Zegart wrote this in 1989, in an article in Ms. Magazine. But the figures are much higher today, mostly because of the incessant drumbeat of stories in the press instigated by power seekers in our government who wish to use the children in their quest to dominate the rest of us. People today are more aware than ever of just how easy it is to "lead Child Protective Services around by the nose" in falsely reporting child abuse. All it takes is an anonymous call to one of their many snitch lines to set the (CPS) hounds baying after both innocent and guilty people, and they don't bother to make a distinction, in most cases. "If you're reported, you must be guilty" in their lexicon. Prosecutors use child abuse cases as an easy route to higher office, since it's much easier to convict someone of child abuse than of murder. The "standards of proof" are much lower. And they can easily trump up charges against their critics, since all it takes is the charge for CPS to start "baying after them."
