* 284 House and Senate Members Sign-On to Abolish Code/IRS
According to The We The People Foundation for Constitutional Education 284 House and Senate members "now directly support legislation abolishing the IRS and the income tax". Will the tax hearings in Congress rescheduled for this coming February of 2002 result in swaying a majority in both houses to finally do away with the Internal Revenue Code and the collection agency required to enforce it, the IRS? Will the catalyst be favorable public "opinion" backing the decision to scrap the code and the IRS after exposing the misapplication of the law which has resulted from decades long unchecked monetary policy? Our fear is "yea".

The first question that should come to mind if you are truly Constitutionally aware is... what mechanism of taxation would the 535 despots replace the income tax with to continue the engineered support of the Federal Reserve's fiat currency if the IRC and IRS were done away with? And the first question you should ask yourself if you aren't Constitutionally aware is... what will I do with all that extra money in my pay envelope now that the IRS and the income tax is gone? Save or spend?

If you're one who is Constitutionally unaware we will be happy to tell you what you will do once you're done jumping up and down with glee when the IRS is gone. The answer is you will spend, spend, spend. You see if the income tax is repealed, you can bet your bottom Federal Reserve Note (some people still call those funny green tax anticipation coupons in their wallets "dollars") that something else will replace the "income" tax. Like your employment taxes (not income taxes) where you never physically hold the money, as it is withheld from your "wages" by your own voluntary request and then paid by someone else (in this case the employer) on your behalf, so shall it be that the same psychological effect of "out-of-sight-out-of-mind" will occur when you go to buy the necessities of life. Our bet is that the mechanism that will replace the income tax (as the Congress and the IRS like to refer to it as) to recapture debt in circulation will be found within the rise in costs of goods and services that will inevitably result with the likes of the newly heralded National Sales Tax (NST).

Here again, like the wage and employment taxes, you will never notice the "money" leaving your wallet or pocket book because that is just what things cost, and there will never be anything to get upset about, because if you can not afford the costs associated with the rising standard of living index Big Brother will be happy to attend to your assistance with a big ball and chain to hang around your neck. We call it the Social Security "system". Oh by the way, the money taken for Social Security is a tax also, and don't believe for a second that the despots will ever allow Social Security to go away if the IRC and the IRS does.

Last week in our report we let you know about an assault on a Citizen who was asking an IRS agent to show him the law. The incident occurred in Las Vegas and was caught on tape and available on the Internet for viewing.

Now it appears law "enforcement" is unwilling to accept a complaint against the IRS agent by the citizen. What a surprise.

Those involved in the Constitutional Revival Movement were first introduced to Al Thompson of California a couple years ago. The general public was introduced to Al and his understanding on the law regarding the income tax not to long ago on that news magazine show 60 Minutes.

Now Al is running as a Congressional candidate of the 2nd district in California. Al's position statement manages to address many of the "third-rails" of politics including "Social Security".

We would like to share with our readers an interview that Al did on The Agitator Hour on October 3rd. Many good points about the tax law were made, and he manages to re-emphasize the importance of returning to a limited government of law rather than a bloated government of politicians.

We have also made it known in past issues that we need more educated people like Al to get involved in the election process. We need more people within our own ranks to take the reigns of government and lead this nation back to the roots of its founding - that being a Republic. It is apparent that the cronies in power certainly have no wish to do anything to upset the balance of political power. Of course they need not, since 99.9% of Americans are practicing card carrying Socialists.

I've got a problem, I'm now 18 and have not registered with Selective Service System, as I can not submit their form as I have not applied for a Social Security Number, nor do I ever wish to.

This question was recently submitted to us, and maybe it's time we investigate this a bit further as it is quite timely.

You may be hearing radio ads in your area, as we are, by the Selective Service System. The ad asks young men to register for the military service through the Selective Service System. The announcer says in short: "The law requires all men to register with the Selective Service System 30 days prior to their 18th birthday." There are also some other interesting scenarios presented later in the ad for one who does not register. We'll get to those later.

The current SSS registration form requires a person's SSN, no surprise there - how else would Uncle Sam find YOU? Because as we all should know by now... Uncle Sam Wants You! What if you don't have a SSN? Are you still required to register? We will let you be the judge of that! The Privacy Act statement on the reverse side of the registration form says, "The Military Selective Service Act, Selective Service regulations, and the President's Proclamation on Registration require that you provide the indicated information, including your Social Security Account Number. The principal purpose of the required information is to establish or verify your registration with the Selective Service System."

The funny thing is, research indicates that the OMB control number assigned does not go to any authorizing statute. If you do not know the importance of an OMB control number and the purpose of such we suggest you research the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980.

As many of our educated Citizens know, the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980 made OMB (the Office of Management and Budget) the "official" watch dog of government agencies that request information from citizens. The reasons why the Paperwork Reduction Act was created is explained in our Tax Freedom 101 Home-Study program. The Selective Service Registration Form which we picked up at our local postal branch contains no OMB control number whatsoever. Does that mean it is a bootleg form and can be ignored, as other forms with no OMB can? The reverse side of the SSS registration form says… "Men who are age 18 through 25 are required to register". Perhaps it can be ignored, but further there also appears to be no penalty of perjury clause for the claimant to verify that the information on the form is true and correct making it an affidavit.

If you feel you are required to register, and you do not have an SSN you could simply write "NONE" in the space provided. Of course Uncle Sam may not enter you into his "system" of records, and we are not in any way advising you as to what you should do or not do. The question is are you willing to send in SSS Form 1 with block #3 left blank or something other written in the space requesting a Social Security Number if you don't have one? How would the Selective Service System even know you actually exist without an SSN attached to your name? They wouldn't, and neither does the IRS.

The end of the privacy act statement on the reverse side of the registration form says… "Failure to provide the required information may violate the Military Service Act. Conviction for such a violation may result in imprisonment for up to five years and/or a fine of not more than $250,000."

We have yet to investigate what exactly the Military Service Act is all about but we shall soon. Our initial feeling is that the "required information" may be different than that of what the registration form is asking and of whom.

Now back to the Selective Service Systems radio ad. In concluding the radio ad the hapless teenager who neglected to register with Selective Service later goes about looking for the government free ride.

His first stop is a government job training office. The person accepting his "application" for training says something to the effect.. "This government job training program will get you the job you need to succeed. Let's just see if you've registered with Selective Service."

The hapless teenager says, "But I haven't registered."

The job trainer: "Oh?!"

The next stop is to find out if our hapless teenager got that cushy government job. The interviewer says, "We're sorry, but our records indicate that you have not registered with Selective Service."

The teenager: "Oh."

Do you see a pattern developing here? Basically the announcer comes on at the end of the ad and says that if a person fails to register with Selective Service they may find many doors closed to them such as; government loans for education, government jobs, and other "free" cheese items.

All these government sponsored programs that the announcer mentions revolve around the participation in Social Security and the use of the Social Security Number which was never meant to be used for identification, but rather to be used by federal employees participating in the Federal Insurance Contribution Act [FICA]. Of course any Citizen may volunteer to participate in Social Security and be taxed for such a privilege.

You can also volunteer for any branch of the service when you are ready.
