Numbering Children

There are two classes of people in the U.S.A. There are those that have been assigned SSNs and those that have not. For those that have been assigned a number, like myself, there is one road to follow. It's not easy and not convenient. Living and working without an SSN is not illegal, it's just not a particularly popular or well known way of life.

It is true that if you never applied for an SSN and have filed an affidavit of revocation and rescission, you can state that you never had an SSN. The truth is that once a transaction is posted to the account, the SSA will never remove the record. According to the SSA, you are still numbered.

For those that have never had or been assigned an SSN, the road ahead is somewhat easier. You can get a letter from the SSA that will state that you don't have a number. With this you can get a driver's license and not have a problem convincing people that you don't have a number.

This is why it is so very important that we ensure that our children do not get numbered. If you ask the average Joe on the street if you must have an SSN you will get responses such as, “You automatically get one when you're born.” (Not true)
“Everyone needs one to work.” (Not true)
“You can't claim a child as a Dependant without one.” (True but not necessary)
“Everyone has to have one.” (Not true)

It has been ground into our way of thinking that everyone must have a number, there is no getting around it and it automatically happens. People just accept it and go on about their lives.

Some of you may remember the article I wrote in 2004 about the Enumeration at Birth Program or EAB. I looked up the SSA's POMS (Policy Operation Manual System) about the EAB. I found a reference to a page entitled “When a parent Objects to the Assignment of a SSN under the EAB”. The reference was not a link. Other references had links to those sections but not this one. I emailed the SSA and they responded that I needed to call an 800 number. I called and they printed it out and mailed it to me.

Here is a link to what they sent me:

Read this little section very carefully. I have a few questions. It looks like this is the procedure that they use if somebody in fact, made a mistake. I submit that if you check “no” on the birth certificate application, they are going to get a SSN for the newborn regardless. Then they will use every means possible to convince you to keep it. Only after a hard fought battle will they send the removal request to the central office. Then the central office will make a determination. It is not up to the parents at this point. They will decide whether or not they will remove the record.

It is true that I have proof that they will assign a SSN regardless of what box you check but i have heard of many cases where this has happened.

So, how does one ensure that their newborn does not come home with a Socialist ID Card? That is actually easy. Don't give him/her a name until you get home. They can't issue a number to someone that has no name. They may use some means to try and get you to name the newborn. They may even try to prevent you from leaving the hospital without naming your child. They can't do that. That is either kidnapping or wrongful imprisonment. If they insist, call the police and report the crime.

Also, here is another tidbit of information. It is not your responsibility to fill out the birth certificate. It is the hospital administration's (at least that's the way it is in Massachusetts. Check you own state laws) responsibility to fill in that information and report it to the office of vital statistics.

When my son was born, I never filled out the birth certificate information. I got a call from the hospital and they filled it out as best they could. No name, no SSNs anywhere. If I want a copy of the birth certificate, I will have to pay Boston City Hall $50 because the information was incomplete. I may just contact the hospital and get some proof of birth from there. I'm not about to pay $50 for something that is not required or a necessity. It wasn't even my responsibility to fill out and submit an incomplete form.

Our children are our future. Please don't number them. They are not cattle or inventory. They don't need a number.

Upcoming article on banking.

Since I viewed the Money Masters video I have decided to write a little article on banking. I thought it would be a good idea to interview a bank manager and see what I could uncover. I could then get a “little person's” opinion on how the system works. naturally I would use no names so they could speak freely. i would start out asking a few general questions before getting into the meat of the interview.

I stopped at the bank (actually a credit union) which I use for my business (I have no personal bank account) and asked the manager if I could interview her for an article I am writing. She asked me what kind of questions I would ask. I told her general banking questions such as where the money comes from, the federal reserve etc. She told me that I needed to speak to their director of marketing. She was unsure of what she could talk about and what she couldn't. I assured her that I would use no names. That was no help. Maybe I'll try a different bank

here's some of the questions I would like to ask, Please feel free to send me e-mail if you have any suggestions to add to the list:

Does the bank follow GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)?

The bank makes money by charging fees and interest on loans?

The money the bank loans for houses, cars etc. comes from depositors and or the fed?

How much of this money is loaned? (fractional reserve banking )

When exactly, is the money loaned created?

When loan payments are made, where does this money go?
(If the money loaned is created out of thin air, do the payments minus interest then return to thin air? Does it go into the banks reserves account to then make another 90% money out of thin air?)

of course any of these answers can lead to more questions.

Send your questions to jeff@NoSSN.com and put the term NoSSN somewhere in the subject line.

"Socialism is not in the least what it pretends to be. It is not the pioneer of a better and finer world, but the spoiler of what thousands of years of
civilization have created. It does not build, it destroys. For destruction is the essence of it. It produces nothing, it only consumes what the social order based on private ownership in the means of production has created." -- Ludwig von Mises ("Socialism", 1922)
