Operation Stop Withholding Underway:
No Objections by IRS or DOJ
Operation Stop Withholding, which got underway last month in Nashua, New Hampshire and Irvine, California, is now in full swing.
The We The People Congress has scheduled dozens of workshops around the country to instruct officials of private companies, workers and independent contractors on how to legally stop withholding, filing and paying the individual income tax.
Prior to the start of the campaign, copies of WTP's instructional materials were delivered to the leaders of the federal Executive and Legislative branches as well as the IRS Commissioner, the Attorney General and the Secretary of the Treasury. All were asked to review the instructional materials and to let WTP know if any of the information was faulty or misleading.
Before each local workshop with company officials, workers and independent contractors, WTP is notifying the area IRS Director, the IRS Commissioner, the head of IRS's Criminal Investigation Division and the US Attorney to notify them of the date, time, location and purpose of the workshop, to invite them to attend the workshop and to let WTP know if any of WTP's instructional material is faulty or misleading.
Thus far, the federal government has voiced NO objections to WTP's instructional materials or to Operation Stop Withholding. WTP will continue to put the federal officials on notice prior to each meeting.
Operation Stop Withholding will continue to the end of 2003. It will consist of three rounds of meetings.
The first round (approximately 45 meetings) is underway with the aim of meeting with as many of our "troops" as possible: concerned citizens, members of WTP and other liberty-minded groups and activists. The meetings will be free and open to the public. The package of instructional materials and forms is also being copied and distributed for free.
We want to make sure the "troops" are well briefed on the overall "battle plan" and well instructed on our strategy and tactics. Among other things, the troops will then participate in a series of actions aimed at maximizing participation in the second round of meetings. The second round of meetings (approximately 15 in number) will take place, for the most part, between June and September of 2003. These meetings will occur on successive Saturdays, with the aim of instructing private companies, workers and independent contractors on how to legally stop withholding, filing and paying the individual income tax. On hand at each of these meetings will be various tax professionals (attorneys, CPA's, former IRS agents, etc.) who believe the individual income tax is fraudulent in its origin, illegal in its enforcement/operation and who are otherwise fully supportive of Operation Stop Withholding.
The third round of meetings (approximately 6-8 in number) will take place in September and October. These are intended to be broader in scope and to be attended by thousands of "freedom keepers." For these "revival meetings" we will rent stadiums and arenas. Our prayer is that these Freedom Rallies will help us restore the Constitution to its rightful place in America.

In addition to Operation Stop Withholding, WTP continues to undertake many other high-profile, high-impact actions. We are making a real difference because of the support of many ordinary, non-aligned people everywhere who are as concerned as we are about government's ongoing abuse of its powers including, but not limited to, its war-making, money-making and police powers.
