A "Relic" Social Security Card

An associate of mine was recently given this relic by his dad. His dad is 70 and my associate is 45. As his dad gave this to him he said, "Here, hold on to this. You may need it." Kind of a testament to the brainwashing we Americans have received.

It looks to me like this thing was issued in 1964. Notice the statement "Not for Identification." Of course that has changed since then and no longer appears.

Take a look also at the instructons on the back. it says, "Show your number to employers, banks and others where you receive interest, dividends, or other income."

Of course this card was issued while my associate was a minor and he can not be legally bound to a decision that was made by someone else (his parents) while he was an incompetent minor. This was before the "Enumeration at Birth Program"
