It all started back in the December 10th 2002 edition of The Tax Freedom 101 Report with the article The Lord God is Moving. We ventured out as The Free Church Project, and now we are The Free Church Ministry! The FCM motto ... "Free the Churches, Free the People!" intends to do just that, as this is our mission. To do this we need you to please share this historic newsletter with friends, family, and your church! This is the start of a new direction for the Constitutional Revival Movement, and our country!

A web site has been launched, and the team has been assembled for the FCM. But before we provide you with that information we want to share with you some history and some interesting developments, as you are the first to hear about the launching of this new unincorporated, unlicensed, and truly tax-free ministry!

Some History

The Puritans broke away from the church of England yet still found persecution in their own land. They escaped to the 'new world' and came to the shores as Pilgrims in a new land, established a covenant, The May Flower Compact and started a new life. The problem was the heathen followed them, and a few decades later God's faithful were battling the same intolerances. Is today any different? What is our charge? What are we to do?

It is not widely known that the true agitators of The American Revolution, the clergy, rallied the largest number of colonists to action for the cause of liberty, not just the Founders. It was the men of God behind the pulpits that gave credence to the cause. These were men of conviction. They reached a large audience and were highly respected within their community because they were spiritual leaders with a righteous fervor. However, these men also had a dark cloud cast upon them. The King of England had them marked by the name, The Black Regiment. Wearing black robes with black bibles in hand, these men preached without a license from the state church of England. The Black Regiment was instrumental in laying the groundwork for true religious liberty, as well as just civil government that the colonists would soon decide to fight and die for.

Patrick Henry's speech 'Give Me Liberty, or Give Me Death' was heavily influenced after watching a member of the Black Regiment back be laid bare by 'His' Majesty's men. When asked what this gentleman's crime was, they answered... "He's a minister who refused to take a license." In other words, this minister and others did not bow to man's government as their Sovereign, but took direction from God and His divine plan for mankind. Three days later they scourged the same minister to death. How fearful tyrannies are of the Word of God unbridled!

Control of the Lord's Church has always been instrumental for tyrannies to thrive. History clearly shows this as fact, and history certainly does repeat itself. Fast forward to today where an unlicensed [that is unincorporated] Church is practically non existent, and moral decay flourishing. Let's see if we truly have the First Amendment right to peaceably assemble as a voice against government controlled churches so as to Free the Churches, and in effect - Free the People! Should our ministry expect objection from government and the state controlled churches of today? You bet! Especially if they see that their empires are in jeopardy of collapsing due to our efforts of freeing the people from the harlot woman [Church, Inc.]. A good rule-of-thumb is, if you aren't being persecuted for righteousness sake as a Christian, you're not doing something right.

Some Interesting Developments

Soon after we started the FCP at Tax Freedom 101 we learned of a book in development by the Founder of the Save-A-Patriot Fellowship which is now finished. The book's title is Piercing the Illusion. The book unabashedly presents the facts and the truth of God's governmental plan for mankind showing the Biblical tax plan for sovereign nations [the States of the Union in particular] and then wrapping it up with the history of the Luciferian theocracy and Satan's continued rebellion to thwart God's plan for mankind throughout the ages.

More recently it was brought to our attention that the paralegal staff at Save-A-Patriot Fellowship headquarters has delved into the evolution of charitable foundations and the manner in which gifts are allowed to be received. Tracing the roots from the end of the Civil War to the present, legal research turned up interesting statutes and case law that has given way to the existing laws on the books with all diligence given to the legal implications of taxation and tax exemption. Members can look for this article in the upcoming fellowship member's only edition of Reasonable Action. This research is vital in showing how the government has taken control of religious organizations to forward their agenda and gag the church.

Then of course is our most inspiring story of Pastor Garrett Lear, a true Patriot Pastor. He has signed on as part of the staff of the Free Church Ministry. He heads a free church and recently wrote an article for us called 'What Happens When the Church is Not Free?'. This article has garnered wide spread exposure. Now Pastor Lear will be heard on 200 hundred radio stations all across the country, and speaks to this most pressing issue on the radio show 'Issues-In-Education' which started on Saturday April 26th, 2003. This was the official kick-off date for the FCM. If you didn't listen to the show, an archived recording can currently be found in mp3 format at the Free Church Ministry web site.

It is by no means mere coincidence that all these developments just happened at the same time without any rhyme or reason. We assure you that we were unaware of what the other participants we associate with were working on, and yet it all came together under a similar banner at the same time!
