DMV

A year ago I had to renew my driver's liscense. I went to the local DMV and explained that I no longer had a valid ss# as I had recinded it. Needless to say they were not helpful; even claiming that they couldn't even access the correct computer screen without a ss#. I offered to sign an affidavit and they claimed to have no form for my situation. I went home without renewing and called his boss. Then I called the boss's boss. Finally I ended up speaking with the Attorney's Office for the DMV or DOT (I can't say I know the difference). I told him I was being discriminated against. He immediately apologized for the inconvenience and made phone calls on my behalf and very politely asked if I had time to go back and proceed with the renewal.

This was great, but the DMV of course had the number all along and surely they did not remove it from my file.

I post this simply as an example of how the attorney's office responded, which was very favorable.
