I was employed at "Teton International" they make pull behind capmer trailers. I was hired on and put to work. When I was asked to fill out a w-4 I brought a copy of the cfr 26 301.3402 as my reason for not filing a "voluntary witholding agreement" with my new employer. They then said they'd file one for me. I warned them that taking my money without a contract constituted theft. So they then siad they'd 1099 me I again told them that I'd engage in NO contract and that the IRS would hold them responsible for any taxes on my income for engaging in a non-mutual agreement and committing fraud. I then sent them a sample affidavit for thier accountant to fill out and send to the IRS stating that they requested a ssn from me but none was given. Then one beautiful day about 30 minutes before quitin time I got called to the office. When I got there I thought they had finally complied with the rules and laws I had provided them with. To my dismay they handed me a "seperation notice". The grounds for my termination were stated as " involved in ilegal activities" defined as refusal to disclose a social security number. What about the privacy act of 1974 88 stat. 1928 sect 7a? Can you say LAW SUIT for discrimination? Well all in all I like Casper Wyoming, but when it comes to employment freedom protectors beware.....We are now thought of as criminals engaged in ilegal activities...Ha Ha We'll see who's defined as the criminal after the jury trial!!

"Only the rare taxpayer would be likely to know that he could refuse to produce his records to IRS agents ... Who would believe the ironic truth that
the cooperative taxpayer fares much worse than the individual who relies upon his constitutional rights." -- U.S. Federal Judge Cummings, in U.S. v. Dickerson (7th Circuit 1969)
