Lighting Showcase first opened its doors as Big Al’s Lighting Showcase, owned by Albert Lazaro and Juliana Rybicki. After spending 12 years learning the lighting business at other showrooms, Juliana and Al opened their first store in 1988 on Pleasant St. in Worcester. After 2 years they outgrew the store and moved to a larger showroom in 1990 on Chandelier St. in Worcester.

Business was good and again Al and Juliana moved, this time after 5 years. The two moved their showroom to a larger space on Rt. 9 in Shrewsbury. Business was outstanding and after 12 years in this location they decided it was time again to move to a larger space. But this time they decided to buy their own building on Rt. 9 in Shrewsbury. Before the store could move into its new location the building needed to be completely renovated. One more time Lighting Showcase packed up and moved to a much larger space of 7,000 sq. ft. on the corner of Rt. 9 and Rt. 140. Now in their new location Lighting Showcase continues to grow and prosper bringing more products into the store for your shopping pleasure.
