Winter Service Special:
For mailbox post installation orders during the frozen ground months of January, February, and part of March, Yankee Mailbox will attempt to install, but if the ground frost is too thick, we will drop off a free standing temporary mailbox with an above ground cement footing for an additional $20 added to your total. Use the temporary post until your Yankee Mailbox is installed in Spring. This way your mail delivery will not be disrupted.
For customers in need of repairs without digging during the winter months, we can restore your post to like new condition installing only the modular parts you need. Our $75 repair service also includes cleaning and waxing your mailbox inside and out, touch up painting, weather permitting, and upgrading your existing Yankee Mailbox with our new Stabilizer Block with nifty American Flag slot. Our new stabilizer system will make your Yankee Mailbox even stronger than before. Strong enough to hold steadfast to the weight of the snow from the snowplows. All mailbox repair service customers also receive a complimentary American Flag, nicer quality than what you can find in stores, placed in your new Stabilizer Block flag slot.

Yankee Mailbox & Lantern installers are trained professionals with a penchant for quality, courtesy, and utmost respect for your property, leaving a beautiful product and a clean jobsite...Guaranteed! Customers are served within 3 weeks of the order. We provide installation and year round service within a 70 mile road route from of our facility located at 777 Madison Street, Wrentham, MA. Because of ground frost, our season for installation requiring hole digging starts the second week of March and ends January 1st. Customers outside our service area are considered and will need to remit an additional charge. Customers outside our service area can also acquire our products including simple installation instructions, carefully packed and shipped UPS Ground nation wide within 3 weeks.

Before installation, Yankee Mailbox & Lantern will contact DIG SAFE to ensure safe digging and compliance with state law. Most customers have their new post installed in the same location as their old post. If you would like your new post installed in a different location, please mark the location with a stake. To let DIG SAFE know the location of the digging, affix a "Post Location" tag to your old post or marker stake.

Mailbox post Installation: $150
Our mailbox posts are professionally installed to U.S Postal standards within three weeks of your order. Using our digging template, Mailbox posts are installed far enough from the road edge providing enough clearance from the snow plow and close enough to provide adequate reach for the mail carrier. Our installers will extract and dispose your existing mailbox post and install your new Yankee Mailbox post. Your new mailbox post will be installed solid, 2 1/2 to 3 feet in ground, level, and perpendicular to the road. Installers mix 50 lbs of gravel with the fill from the digging and use a 20 lb tamping rod, packing the ground to ensure a solid and reliable post installation. When digging, fill is deposited on plywood board to keep dig site tidy. Customers also receive a complementary American Flag inserted in the Yankee Mailbox flag slot.

Signpost Installation: $150
Our signposts are professionally installed within three weeks of your order. Yankee Signposts are versatile giving you the opportunity to include a mailbox and or lantern fixture. Signs are fastened to the post with stainless steel eye and "S" hooks. "S" hooks are pinch locked to secure sign. Signposts with a mailbox are installed far enough from the road edge providing enough clearance from the snow plow and close enough for mail carrier reach. Our installers will extract and dispose your existing mailbox post and install your new Yankee Mailbox post. Your new mailbox post will be installed solid, 2 1/2 to 3 feet in ground, level, and perpendicular to the road. Customers also receive a complementary American Flag inserted in the Yankee Mailbox flag slot. Signpost installation with a lantern, or junction box with sign lights does not include electrical connection. Electrical connection must be done by a licensed electrician or homeowner. Our installers extract and dispose of your old post and install your new Yankee signpost, 2 feet in ground, solid and plumb. In all cases, installers mix 50 lbs of gravel with the fill from the digging and use a 20 lb tamping rod, packing the ground to ensure a solid and reliable post installation. When digging, fill is deposited on plywood board to keep dig site tidy.

Lantern post Installation: $150
Our lantern posts are professionally installed within 3 weeks of your order. Lantern post installation does not include electrical fixture connection. Fixture electrical connection must be done by a licensed electrician or homeowner. Our installers extract and dispose of your old lantern post and install your new Yankee Lantern post, 2 feet in ground, solid and plumb. Installers mix 50 lbs of gravel with the fill from the digging and use a 20 lb tamping rod, packing the ground to ensure a solid and reliable post installation. When digging, fill is deposited on plywood board to keep dig site tidy. In cases where the electrical line is long enough to pass through our 8 foot lantern post, installers will leave enough electrical line so a licensed electrician or the homeowner can easily connect the fixture. Often times, your lantern post is short and your existing electrical line is too short to pass completely through our 8 foot lantern post. In this case, our installers run 14-2 ground contact Romex wire through the new lantern post and run both the new line and your existing line through a 3/4" PVC pipe into a PVC junction box a few inches above ground level along the backside of the lantern post. This way, a licensed electrician or the homeowner can install a GFI duplex outlet. Because of the massive weight of our Granite lantern post, our installers must employ the work truck crane to lower the post into the ground hole. For granite, your location for installation must be accessible with our work truck. Customers outside our service area are considered and incur an additional charge.

Retrofit Service: $75
Customers with a granite post plagued with a substandard brace, cheap cap and shoddy mailbox can order our $75 Retrofit service transforming your post into a beautiful and strong Yankee Mailbox. Our installers will strip your granite post of the junk, and using our hammer drill and template system, install 3 stainless steel wedge anchors and mount your new Yankee Mailbox with personalized address lettering and handmade mailbox brace and post cap. Our exclusive stabilizer system and morticed brace with all joints reenforced with waterproof glue exclusive screw rebar pattern will make your mailbox post as strong as it can be. Strong enough to hold steadfast to the weight of the snow from the snowplows. For a finishing touch, Post Caps are available for 6" and 7" granite posts. All Retrofit customers receive a complimentary American Flag, nicer quality than what you can find in stores, placed snugly in our stabilizer block flag slot. BEFORE Granite post with undersized plastic post cap, skinny PVC foam mailbox brace busting apart at all joints without cover caps and most important, structural integrity, small heavy gauge steel mailbox without address lettering and a door design that allows water and filth into the box. The weak wood platform with no stabilizer system to fasten the box to the granite post failed when it was designed.	AFTER Our customer was very pleased with the strength of our mortice and tenon cedar mailbox brace- all joints glued and screwed. Our heavy gauge Heritage mailbox with address lettering, stabilizer system and American Flag will never fall off the post. It certainly was refreshing to dispose of that tiny plastic post cap and fit the beautiful granite post with a properly proportioned 6 1/2" inside diameter cedar Post Cap.

BEFORE Granite post with skinny, wobbly, disfigured and rusty iron shelf bracket with a ridiculous mailbox mounting system designed to fail. The mailbox is fastened to a weak pine platform attached to the iron brace with 2 tiny wood screws. Our customer was constantly picking his mailbox off the ground.	AFTER Total transformation with newspaper brace, Patriot mailbox, reflective address decal with stabilizer system and American Flag. For a nice finishing touch, the post was fitted with our 7 1/2" inside diameter post cap.

Service: $75
Yankee Mailbox & Lantern provides year round service within a 70 mile road route from of our facility located at 777 Madison Street, Wrentham, MA, in case your mailbox or lantern post requires repair or new parts without digging a hole. Service also includes cleaning the mailbox post or lantern post, cleaning and waxing the mailbox and touch-up painting cedar components. For mailbox posts, service also includes upgrading your existing Yankee Mailbox with our new Stabilizer Block with nifty American Flag slot. Our new stabilizer system will make your Yankee Mailbox even stronger than before. Naturally, all service customers receive a complimentary American Flag placed in your new flag slot.

Yankee Mailbox Sign & Lantern carefully packs your new post and guarantees damage free delivery within 3 weeks UPS Ground. Posts are plastic wrapped to protect the finish from abrasion, encased in hard 1/4" chip board "Exoshield" to protect the post from blunt impact and placed in an outer cardboard carton. Mailboxes are assembled, professionally lettered, waxed, placed in a plastic bag to protect the finish from abrasion, and shipped inside two cardboard boxes. Signs are covered in protective paper, placed in a plastic bag and packed in cardboard with protective cushioning. Lantern fixtures are placed in a plastic bag, cushioned with Styrofoam and packed in cardboard. For posts, installation kits are included containing simple installation instructions, hardware, silicone glue, matching post touch up paint and a paint brush.

Posts are plastic wrapped to prevent abrasion and encased in hard 3/8" particle board crate to protect the post from blunt impact. Mailboxes are assembled, professionally lettered, waxed, placed in a plastic bag to protect the finish from abrasion, and shipped inside two cardboard boxes. Signs are covered in protective paper, placed in a plastic bag and packed in cardboard with protective cushioning.
